For this homage to Winona’s Great River Shakespeare Festival, I’ve combined two of my favorite coffees to make up this blend.
The first component, a Costa Rican coffee from the Tarrazu region. It captures the classic profile of a washed Costa Rican coffee, with up-front sweetness, mild nuttiness, and sparkling but gentle citric acidity.
The second component, an FTO (fair trade, organic) coffee from the Chiapas region of Mexico. This coffee has a tart citric acidity and a smooth mouthfeel and peanut butter flavors.
