Decameron Blend is a mixture of a few of my favorite coffees, and roasted in the dark, Italian style, to the point where oil just starts to appear on the surface of the bean. I chose this name because in the 14th century, an Italian named Boccaccio wrote a book by this same name, about 10 people who leave the crowded city to wait out the ravages of a pandemic. While in the country, they told each other stories to pass the time. It would appear we all have time on our hands now. Though we shouldn’t be in large groups, we can still be with our families, talking to each other and listening to each other. Here’s a coffee roasted for just that purpose.
