By the pricking of my thumbs, something Mugby this way comes!
Mr. Bartleby here, bringing you the next Mugby Junction Coffee Roasters blog post. It’s been a few months since my last post, but in the words of a contemporary poet, “What a long, strange trip it’s been.” These last three months have been unpredictable and stressful for many reasons, all the more reason to bring back a summer favorite.
For those of you who are Shakespeare lovers, you’ll recognize the salutation–a quote from Macbeth–with which I took a bit of poetic license by way of re-introduction to this blend from last summer–Weird Sisters Blend.
This is a blend I first introduced in 2010, for Winona’s Great River Shakespeare Festival, which was presenting Macbeth. Sadly, the stage is dark this summer, so rather than create a new blend, I brought back a crowd favorite. This blend is a mixture of Mexican and Costa Rican coffees. It is a light roast, which is mild and clean, with citric acidity and cocoa flavor. And do you know why they’re called the Weird Sisters? Because weird, spelled “wyrd” in Old English, meant fate or destiny.
